More CID photos

Everytime I go out with the "Children in Distress" team I am both captivated by the kids and saddened by their situations. I just cant resist taking pictures of them. They love it when they see a camera and always want to check the photos out.
Dinner time. The children being served their daily hot meal. You can see the cook serving stew from a big iron kettle. The netting in background is covering vegetable gardens. Center background is someones house!

Finishing the last crumbs of cake that CID bought out as a treat.
Putting on a show for the camera. The green and orange building in the background is the church and center where the children meet daily after school to get their hot meal. You can just make out part of a tent on the far right hand side that is the "church hall"!  ( There are four other similar centers that CID visits)

Helena and I went shopping and found some well priced shoes. We couldn't resist buying them for the children.
A very happy little man with new shoes.

  1. Hi Pam,
Boy, things have certainly changed for you since I saw you last.
Bernie forwarded your e-mail to those of us who are training in Reading Recovery.
It looks so exciting what you are involved in, the children are just beautiful.
    Keep up the good work.
    Blessings,
    Jonathan SIlby
