There is a fascinating museum in Keswick, celebrating Lakeland/Derwentwater pencils and I was pleased to find my very tin on the museum shelves.
The weather was a bit grey but we had a great wander around part of the lake front, thought of Beatrix Potter, William Wordsworth and Lakeland pencils. Pretty special really!
We climb a small hill had a picnic lunch and read Wordsworth, drank red wine and ate a pork pie!
The skies were grey but the delightful streets of Keswick were beautiful.
We have been following Our friends Ruth and Shaun around the world but never quite catching up with them. We left them a treasure to find in Dublin and they did the same or us in Keswick.
Success after the following the clues!!!!
We have done the Lake district a disservice by only spending a night here but our travel timetable is such that we couldn't do any more. One night meant two full days which we made the most of. Now it is on the Scotland.
