Go Cell Shut

Go Cell Shut February 28th - April 9th

This post will be for the more technically minded. That is not me so I apologize in advance if I make any glaring mistakes.

The Shut is in it's 4th week. It was meant to be the culmination of the whole Go Cell project but for one reason or another the Shut has been slightly modified and now only involves getting Fibre Line Two up and running. Fibre Line Three will be commissioned latter.

Everyone has been working flat out, mostly 12 hour days or longer, 7 days a week. As you can imagine people are getting very tired and looking forward to this part being completed.

The pulp dryer, one of Andrews jobs,  is a large part of this shut. So those of you interested in pulp dryers read on.

This is a good press release issued by the mill to tell everyone about the dryer move. Other photos follow.

The new dryer on the swing trailers waiting to be moved into its new home.

Swing trailers in place under the dryer.

Looking from the building that housed the old dryer. The new dryer is waiting to be installed.
I am pleased to say the dryer is now happily installed in its new home. One less thing to worry about but there still seems to be plenty more to occupy Andrew's time.
